Taiwan Vacation - Sorry for the late post!

Hello there wonderful people!

Your patience is much appreciated and here I am, once again way due with the blog post I was suppose to write about like, weeks ago!

A month's plus has passed since my Taiwan vacation and I STILL MISS IT THERE! Well, who doesn't love vacations? Hahas.

So, a little recap. Went there for a week from 22nd Jan to 29th Jan. It was a great week!
Although in between Darling and I got sick due to food poisoning from the puffy fish we ate if I'm not wrong. Had to visit the doctor's! We wasted one day staying in the rented apartment, SLEEPING. Damn! The one day was just so wasted! After hours of sleep and finally vomiting, we got better and was ready to head out again! I was like, FINALLY! We only had a week!

Well, enough of my bragging and let's get on with the pictures! Though I have to tell you that there's still alot of pictures I've not gotten yet. Darling's been busy and lazy and have not transferred them from his DSLR to his com yet. So I'll show you what I have from my digital cam. Not to worry, I'll include descriptions to explain what the pictures are about and where. :)

Alright folks! Here goes! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Passports and Air tickets. No money for SIA so we took Jetstar. :)

While waiting for boarding, we got hungry so we went for some burger king!
(It was the cheapest we could find. The chicken rice there cost aroun $6+!)

I decided take a snap after lunch. :) I had to! I was still looking alright with the make up on. Hahas.

On the way for boarding!

That look! He always gives me that look when I try to take a photo of him.

On the way we saw this leg massage machine and we decided try it before moving on.
And I took another snap. Even with make up, you can still spot those damn acnes! ARGGHH!
I love my Darling. We were in the plane already. He let me have the window seat! :)
He'll have the window seat in the return flight.
A snap of what I saw outside while waiting for the plane to take off.

And off we go! Somewhere high up in the sky, I saw this wonderful view and I just had to snap!!!

I love this! The clouds were exactly like this! Like a pool or sea of white smokey water. Damn nice!
I caught the sunset! Hahas. We were halfway through the flight already and reaching Taipei soon. During winter, their sun sets earlier. So during evening time, you'll feel like its 9+pm.

Here's the sun directly smiling and shining at me!

Wonderful view.
Finally, after 4 hours +, we landed in Taoyuan Airport and getting ready to get off! I was so excited! When I touched the window, it was cold! And before landing, the pilot announced it was 14 degrees outside! Imagine how excited I was especially when Singapore never gets less than 25 degrees!
Walking through to get to the place to collect our luggages.
It was 6.27pm at that time! :) Their timezone is the same as ours which is good cause I'll know what time is it in Sg and don't need to count. :)
See those people over there? yeah, our luggages are somewhere near there. :)

After all the airport stuffs, his colleague drove us to out rented apartment and I stayed there alone! Why? Cause Darling went to his company dinner. Oh ya, for those who don't know, his company is a Taiwan company and I got the opportunity to go for this Taiwan Vacation cause he needed to go there for his annual company dinner and we thought we take this opportunity to have a vacation there! So here are the pictures of the 1 room apartment. I took them off the company's website cause I didn't take any pictures of the place myself. I was glad we stayed here cause it was way cheaper than hotels and the facilities provided in the room were great! Nice and cozy, just like your own home!

So here's the door, and behind me while I was taking this pic is the lift.

That's how the room looked like. Nice right? I chose this apartment cause of the design and the convenience. 5 mins to MRT and according to Darling's colleagues, that place is Taipei's Orchard Road. Like Singapore's Orchard. The malls just minutes away, clubs and stuffs.

And this bathtub! Awesome bathtub which I soaked in whenever I feel cold or after a day's walk. :)

This is the store, just 5mins walk from our apartment and the first food I bought in Taiwan was from this store.
The golden sweet potato as so they call it.

This, I had to show you.l They put their fire extinguishers just in a corner without any glass. Now that is what I call convenient. They are reachable anytime! Without breaking of glasses.

One of the street view I took. On the way to Grand Forward hotel to meet his colleagues for steamboat buffet.

This is the sweetcorn I ate in his other colleague's car. It was already night time and his colleague took us for a soak at the Hot Springs.

All the cuttlefish hanging at one of those roadside stalls.

And this's the hot spring. It was soooo relaxing! Darling's colleague had vouchers and so we went here. It wasn't those luxurious beautiful decorated ones but still, it was a nice soak!

Ahem, those are our clothes. Spot my coat? The one with the fur!!! Bought it for NT1800.

After soaking, it was dinner time! We went to have some seafood in KEELUNG - 基隆。
Cute fishes! Sad they have to be eaten. Lols.

That's the colleague who took us for hot spring and now, seafood dinner.

Taiwan beer! I prefer taiwan beer to all those beers we have in singapore, to me, it's less bitter and taste better!

Yum Yum!!!

My fav dish. The fish!
We with the fur coat. :) It was still very cold even with the coat on..

This is an instrument. I bought a few back for my family. You can play music with it by blowing and covering those holes. Just like a recorder you learned to play in primary schools.

They have a dozens of designs! From turtle to bread to guitar, duck. Many!

Darling eating his fave cartoon character's favourite food. TONG LUO SHAO, the fave food of Doraemon.

Cute guy selling huge lighters.
The stall which sold prank toys. You know, those spiders, electric gum and stuffs.

I was eating a butter tong luo shao.

Now we're in Xi Men Ding. There wasn't much there. Just many stalls, pretty girls and handsome guys.

Saw this tatto ad. Amazing tattoos!

And here's Dan Shui- 淡水。 My fave place of all! Had so much fun playing those game stalls there.

Be bought some salmon sushi at the train station and brought it to danshui to eat. :) MY FAVE SUSHI!!!

And there's this uncle who's playing the instruments ..

These are the turtles I caught. They give you this net made with paper and after the paper tears, game over. But it's fun. I'll show you the video.

Airgun! I took a pic of this guy playing. Videos of us playing will be up and the end of the post.

Hand massage ball shaped and made in the look of a breast. Lols!

Super tall ice cream! I bought one but it tasted bad. but the look of it is nice!

People queuing up to get into the ferry and go for a ride.
I love this place. Just sit there in the cool weather and look at those uncles fishing. 5* relaxing option.

THE SHOP IS FULL OF BEARS! CUTE! But i didn't go in and buy something cause my money's almost spent and I need it for other stuffs.
And saw this article outside this massage shop about Andy Lau stopping by.

Night market!!!

Bought the milk tea! hehes. Very nice and different from those in sg.. Nice!
DArling decided he wanted to eat the steamboat buffet again... This time, just the two of us.

My desserts!!!

I bought this handphone deco sticker and couldn't wait to get it on my iphone!

Their bicycles are parked like this. PRO!

TAIPEI 101 .

Darling doing what he's good at. Photography!!!

This is interesting. The words explains the different sounds for different signals.
One of it is bird , one is cricket and the other I don't know how to read. Lols !
The water thing in front of Taipei 101 .
Anyone tell me what it's called? Cause I have no idea what this thing is called.

Caught the best shot of the whole water performance.

The ferris wheel beside the shopping mall that Rainie Yang once filmed at in the drama , " HUAN HUAN AI -換換愛.

We took the transparent one. :)

Nothing's sweeter than having a kiss in a ferris wheel high up!!!

Okay, this pic is not pretty but I just want to show you how high up we were.
Well, no matter how bad any photos look, it's still me! No getting away with that!

This pair of boots accompanied me through the 7 sevens of vacation. I love boots!!!

Tickets for the bullet train to taoyuan bus station. We're going there and than take a bus to Taoyuan airport for our flight back to Singapore.

First time in the bullet train. It's nice!!! Spacious, cozy and fast!

The bus we took to Taoyuan airport. Kinda malay style don't you think?

Burger king again!!!

Darling tried my coat on. Don't he look cute??

Turn right and its down the stairs to wait for boarding into our flight back home. I cannot believe 7 days is over just like that!!!! But well, time flies and we had to go back. :(

We chilling with Darling's mac. Took the time to get online!!
As promised, he got the window seat for the return flight. :)

We got hungry again and ordered some food on the plane.

Look how ex they cost. Hahas. No choice. IN THE AIR!

This was mine. :)
It was delicious!!

And now, for the videos... :)

So, enjoy the videos and in case you're wondering where went went during the times when photos were not taken, we were either shopping or slacking, have meals and looking around!
I'm a lazy person so I didn't take photos of everything or everywhere I went. Sorry. Many of the trip memories are in my mind. :)

Well then. Hope you enjoyed the post and see you soon!
